The Nest
I refer to my little orange house as the nest. With the outside vibrant colors flowing right through the door inside the walls and ceiling. A maximalistic style inspired by all the things I love most, travel, art, music and nature. This space reflects the color and expansion I feel inside my bones when I am in my most natural state.
A little walkthrough my home, its quick and quaint. A handmade couch to fit right in the corner nook under the tall windows which look out to our little side block. A record player hooked up to speakers, a disco ball for ambiance and tons of books and games to enjoy while sitting together in the lounge area. A studio kitchen in the center of the home to reflect the central feeling of gathering, food, and creativity around cooking and sharing. Blue tiled backsplash met with wood butcher block counter tops and vibrant salmon cabinets all thoughtfully planned to ignite a warm happy feeling. A medium size round table with 3 seating chairs. I use this table as my catch all. It's where I do all of my at home computer work, sewing and creating. The combination washer/dryer sits under the kitchen counter keeping it in hands reach and accessible for easy loads. Wrapping around the corner you'll find a full mattress tucked in the bedroom. This is where the tv lives, making the sleeping quarters a time for relaxation and decompression after a full day of exploring. The bathroom connected to the bedroom holding ample storage space, a deep tub and toilet bidet. A lovely touch to the bathroom is the large, high, private window which brings in beautiful light. Two closets and a dresser will be available for use of both storage and clothing.
Completely renovated and set to make a small, tiny home in the city work for solo travelers & partners. Its coziness and practical organization of space make living minimally in a maximalistic setting feel inspired. My dream has always been to put my creativity in a home and share it with other like minded travelers who see the beauty in small design.

What you will love about this neighborhood
I truly couldn't pass on the opportunity to purchase my little nest because of both its charm and location. Being in the heart of the Italian Market in Philadelphia is perfect for daily walks in everyones favorite neighborhood. Local outdoor market with cheese, meats, vegetables, bakeries, pizza and philly food classics just 2 blocks away.
The bus line on 11th street is but 200ft away and brings you directly to center city. The subway is my favorite form of public transportation with the stop just a 7 minute walk will bring you north to Center City or Southbound to our Philadelphia sports complexes.
With all of the public transportation so local and easy, I do prefer walking or biking first! Leaving my bike here for use is my biggest suggestion. We have lovely biking trails on both water fronts. If not biking, I usually walk! Just 25 minute walk and you reach City Hall which is our center city. 7 minute walk to Passyunk, which holds more local small businesses and a vibrant busy vibe. Iconic South Street is 5 blocks away where you'll find philly food favorites and a more underground vibe. Old City is a 2 mile drive away holding all of our historic sites like the Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley and some of our historic museums.
