What you will love about this home
Our house is located in the mountains, near Grenoble - France. We built it in 2014 with high requirements for low energy consumption and natural materials. You'll find all you need for children and outdoor activities !
What you will love about this neighborhood
Very small town, le Sappey-en-Chartreuse is in the middle of the nature, ready for hike, riding and skiing ! In the center of the village, you'll find a grocery, a few cafes and restaurants.
Of course winter is a great season for nordic and alpine skiing !
Summer is also full of activites! Here is a list of what we ususally do during the summer around our home in le Sappey-en-Chartreuse :
1/ around the house :
- we have a trampoline in our garden !
- by foot from the house, there is a play ground with tennis, football and basket courts, a skate park, and some outdoor games for small children.
- of course plenty of hiking tracks. We are located just on the edge of preserved natural zone in which you have a bird observation hut. From the house, you can easely go a middle mountain (takes 2h and 400m +) called "Ecoutoux" with impressive view to Grenoble City and the Mont-Blanc in most cases.
- we have also bikes and you can ride around Le Sappey without big difficulties and enjoy nice tracks in the forest.
2/ in le Sappey :
- there is an acrobatic park in trees with several levels for everyone which is called Indian Forest : http://www.if38.com
- there are also some orienteering tracks, the Information Point near the church provides you with all information.
- there is also a horse riding stable : https://www.domainedebensecuriedusappey.com
3/ 20min from le Sappey :
- deeper in the Chartreuse Massif, we usually go to Saint Pierre de Chartreuse where there is a kind of leisure base called "la Diat" with swimming pool, minigolf, a bike riding track and a fresh river ! http://chartreuse-tourisme.com
- Around Saint-Pierre you'll also find some very intertesing patrimonials sites (http://www.musee-grande-chartreuse.fr and http://www.saint-hugues-arcabas.fr )
- you can also go the Grenoble for a day (there is a direct bus line) with all you can imagine in a city of around 200k inhabitants.
