What you will love about this home
Just ten minutes from the University of Alabama campus, driving up between two magnolia trees to our double red front doors, you can escape the heat (or occasional cold) of Alabama. Play a tune on the piano or stream music through the TV’s sound bar. There's plenty of room to stretch out on big sofas in the den, work/eat/play games at the dining room table, and gather around the kitchen table that’s been in our family for five generations.
Relax on the screened back porch which overlooks a grassy, fenced-in back yard. Enjoy the swing set or sitting around the fire pit. Retreat to one of the four bedrooms, turn on the ceiling fan, and close the shutters for a good nap. Make yourself at home in the kitchen where there are triple reverse-osmosis filtered water, stainless steel pots and pans and utensils, and plenty of condiments and spices for you to use.

What you will love about this neighborhood
This peaceful, one-level family home sits in a quiet cul-de-sac at the back of a safe little neighborhood, just six miles from the University of Alabama campus. Within five minutes' drive there is a golf course, a park that includes a dog park, playgrounds, several restaurants, and a Publix.
Residents of this neighborhood are mostly from Alabama, but some have come here from abroad to work at nearby colleges or at businesses like Mercedes and its suppliers. Take a walk around the block, and you might say hello to neighbors from Italy, South Africa, Turkey, Israel, or Germany.

Additional information
We homeschool our kids and have the books to show for it ...so many books, which you're welcome to peruse while you're here!
We're also a cat- and dog-friendly home. Our two mini golden doodles do not shed, and they will travel with us, while the cat stays at home.
Our tabby cat Timmy, famous in the neighborhood for his friendliness, goes in and out through a window flap in the main bedroom. He does shed, he mostly keeps to the north, main bedroom side of the house.
Since we live here year-round, our clothes are hanging in the closets, but we'll have luggage racks available for your bags, plus empty drawers or closet space available in each room. Our fridge, freezer, and pantry are usually full of food, but we'll clear off a shelf in each for you to use.
If you see a musical instrument that you would like to play - with care - go for it! The piano, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and ukulele are generally out where you can see them.
