What you will love about this home
Town house with large tiered garden and river at the bottom of the garden.
Charming atypical house in the heart of Lisieux.
150m² house
Ground floor: Entrance, toilet, bathroom
Garden level: Cellar, kitchen, living/dining room/study with wood-burning stove, piano and guitar.
Upstairs: 4 bedrooms: 1 master bedroom with king-size bed, second toilet, 1 landing bedroom with mezzanine (140cm mattress) 2 children's bedrooms with approx. 1 140cm bed in each.
New! In the mezzanine of the workshop at the bottom of the garden there is an extra bedroom with a double bed. The room is isolated from the rest of the workshop.
The garden: Approx. 600m² of grassed land, consisting of 3 levels separated by cross-pieces and enclosed by hedges, terrace and shed for storing bikes and access to the street from the garden (2 adult bikes and one child's bike).
A staircase gives access to the river (which can be closed off for young children). We regularly go down to the river for a swim in summer, so we can walk everywhere (even the children). We own up to half of the riverbed (the Touques), which gives us fishing rights.
Parking: We have an ear for street-side car parking at the level of the house, and parking is very easy a little above our house.

What you will love about this neighborhood
Very quiet neighborhood, very popular because it's the calm of the countryside in the city. Bar-tabac, bakery and mini-market less than 500 meters away. A 5-minute walk from the town center, where you'll find all the amenities you'd expect in a town of 20,000 inhabitants. Large Saturday morning market, renowned in the region. From the house, a magnificent view of the cathedral and basilica. Lisieux is France's second-largest pilgrimage center, with its cult of St. Thérèse and her parents. The basilica and cathedral are well worth a visit. A 300-meter walk in the countryside.
