What you will love about this home
Our home is our respite. It is both spacious and cozy: a delicately updated vintage late 50's ranch-style home with birch paneling and cabinetry. In winter our favorite views are to the resident elk herd on Mt. Jumbo: in summer we move outdoors to the furnished covered patio surrounded by garden.
What you will love about this neighborhood
We are conveniently located to: University of Montana, downtown Missoula restaurants, music venues, galleries, shopping, Clark Fork River access and located directly to public open space galore for biking and hiking. The Rattlesnake National Recreation Area is 3 miles upstream. A walk to downtown includes a paved multi-use trail following Rattlesnake Creek.
Many developed river access points (Rock Creek, Blackfoot, Clark Fork & Bitterroot) are within 20 miles. Alpine and Nordic skiing are within 3-120 miles.

Additional information
There are two things that we would want to talk about.
The first is that there is a separate apartment on site where a family member lives. This is great for us because she can help with questions you may have and will take care of maintenance while we are gone. We want to make sure you are comfortable with that arrangement, no surprises.
The second is that we have a dog that we plan to take with us when we leave. However, if you want a dog for company while staying in our home we are open to leaving him in your care.
