What you will love about this home

By the royal canal, 3 minutes from the Luas light rail with a light filled extension. Its ideal for families visiting Dublin city who would like to holiday in a cosy and relaxing house with all mod cons. The park behind our house means that we're not overlooked and gives the garden a sense of space and nature.

2 living spaces: 1. Well stocked kitchen and sunny dining area opens onto west facing patio and garden that catches the sun all day long and is ideal for an evening bbq. It's open plan with a living space, comfy couch, casette stove (fire) and TV.
2. A second cozy living room with open hearth fire, a regular couch and a pull out couch that converts to a big double bed. This room has a big TV with playstation and games so ideal for the kids.

There's a downstairs toilet and sink.

Sleeping spaces: The large ensuite master bedroom is a loft conversion with a super king size bed overlooking the leafy park where you can relax to the ping and pong of tennis balls on a sunny day. There are two double bedrooms on the second floor; one with double bed and the other with children's bunk beds.

Modern family bathroom contains large electric shower and a bath.

What you will love about this neighborhood

We waited for a house to become available in this Phibsboro neighbourhood (Shandon) because we knew how much families loved to bring up kids here. The Royal Canal passes only minutes away and is ideal for a jog, a stroll or a bike ride. The park behind our house has tennis and basketball courts, exercise machines and a natural playground for under 10s. A range of small independent shops are less than ten minutes walk - deli, range of excellent coffee shops, fruit & veg store, fine butcher, bakeries, fishmonger and a large supermarket. Within 25 minutes you can walk to Dublin City centre and in the opposite direction, the National Botanic Gardens- one of Dublin's treasures, and Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum. Thirty minutes walk brings you to Phoenix Park (the biggest urban park in Europe) and Dublin zoo. The house provides easy access to numerous museums and galleries, including Collins Barracks or the Museum of Modern Art. The Gravediggers, one of Dublin's most renowned traditional pubs, is a short walk and does great lunches, tapas in the evenings and a fine pint of Guinness any time of the day. The Luas light rail system stops around the corner from the house (3 minutes walk) and is the most efficient way to get into the city - it links up with the DART and national rail services to get you most destinations in the city and beyond. The nearest bus stop is a three minutes walk away and another five minutes walk gives access to many more buses heading north and south. The Dublin Bikes terminal is less than a 15 minute walk. We are conveniently located to Dublin airport; a taxi to Dublin airport costs €25- €30.
