What you will love about this home
Location, location, location! Our cozy and comfortable beach cottage is an ideal place to hang out or use as a base for your Southern California adventures. It sits on a quiet walkstreet (no cars out front) in the charming beach town of Manhattan Beach, CA, a suburb of Los Angeles. It is well-maintained with modern furnishings, comfortable beds with PURPLE brand mattresses (1 queen, 1 twin, 1 available twin floor mat) and everything you need to feel right at home. The updated kitchen is well-equipped with new appliances but a variety of restaurants are just a short walk away. The private back yard has a covered patio with seating and a futon couch; a fire pit; a BBQ/smoker and a pizza oven; outdoor shower; and fitness equipment including a pilates reformer (experienced users only), weights, mats, pull-up bar and TRX gear. The front yard is an inviting place to watch birds and beachgoers pass. There is parking for one car and an assortment of beach gear (towels, soft-top surfboard, body board, balls, etc.) on hand. Other amenities include hi-speed WiFi, a smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, washer and dryer, piano, desks, and an electric fireplace. We have two adult-size Beach Cruiser bikes for you to use, and more can be rented nearby. LAX International Airport is just 6 miles away which is very convenient before and after a long flight.
What you will love about this neighborhood
Our home is 4 blocks up from a broad and sandy beach with its miles of dedicated walkways and bike paths. Manhattan Beach is home to surfing, volleyball, a pier and aquarium. It's an easy 5-minute walk to the town center where you'll find a variety of restaurants, boutiques, and a spectacular library. Several grocery markets are in easy walking distance and a number of shopping malls are within a few miles.
When you're ready to venture out from our little town, Los Angeles' iconic tourist attractions are within driving distance (45-90 minutes, depending on traffic/time of day). Explore world-class museums (LACMA, MOCA, The Getty Center, Getty Villa...), theme parks (Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain), sport arenas (Crypto, SoFi, Doger Stadium, among others), and multiple Music and Theater venues (Hollywood Bowl, Disney Hall, the Greek Theater, and many more), hiking and road/path/mountain biking; plus Hollywood, Rodeo Drive and all the other landmarks you've heard about. Conveniently, LAX International Airport is just a few miles away.

Additional information
We prefer 1-2 week simultaneous reciprocal exchanges, but will consider non-simultaneous exchanges and GP exchanges. We will NOT consider requests for less than 5 nights. You will need to leave $100 for the cleaning lady.
