What you will love about this home

Our home is a standalone 3 bedroom dwelling with views to the water and Mount Maunganui, ("the Mount)", an extinct volano and famous landmark. The bedrooms are upstairs with 2 bathrooms and an elevator for easy access. All 3 bedrooms have amazing views of the Mount and the inner harbour. One can watch the comings and goings of the port with numerous cruise ships visiting during the summer months. There ares 2 living areas downstairs comprised of a TV room, a large open plan kitchen/dining area,a bathroom, and a laundry in the attached double garage. The interior was recently renovated throughout and is light, airy and warm with 2 heat pumps and a ventilation system. Our home is suitable for a family with a cupboard dedicated to childrens' toys.
We also have a two year old holiday home at Lake Taupo which is available for your use by negotiation. Lake Taupo is a tourist resort two hours drive away.

What you will love about this neighborhood

We live in a residential area with two restaurants, two fish and chip shops, a small cafe, a post office,and a neighbourhood pub and sundry retail shops just 100 metres or so away, albeit down a fairly steep hill. A bus stop for a bus into the centre of Tauranga township and over to the Mount is virtually on our doorstep with the Mount ocean beach and the harbour beach a 15 minute drive. The popular tourist destinations of Rotorua and Taupo one hour and two and one half hours away respectively.

Tauranga contains the Tauranga and Mount townships which are connected by road brige. The Mount is the newer development with beach front highrises, an electic mix of restaurants and a strong "beach "vibe." It offers an abundance of outdoor recreational activities including: surfing or swimming at New Zealand's most popular ocean beach; walking the 3.4km Mauao (Mount Maunganui) base track, New Zealands most popular day walk; > relaxing in the hot saltwater pools at the base of the Mount. Taranga offers: sheltered beaches in the inner harbour; walking and cycling trails through saltmarshes with abundant birdlife; , a 45 minute return walk to the Kiate Falls; a stepping off point for boat charters to enjoy the nearby fishing grounds (overnight at Major Island); day trips to nearby Rotorua to view the geothermal activity; sheltered beaches in the inner harbour.
