What you will love about this home

We live in the beautiful suburban Monkstown. Our house, with large gardens has exceptional views over Cok Harbour. Our home is made up of four bedrooms ( one ensuite), kitchen, dining room,utility room office, two bathrooms, lounge, tv room and conservatory.We have a large landscaped garden (which is very private).There are two patios to catch the morning and evening sunlight.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Our home, which overlooks the harbour takiing in views of Ringaskiddy Port( Brittany Ferries operates out of this port) Further out one can see Cobh, it's cathedral, which is also home to the Titanic Centre. Large cruisers are now regular visitors to the harhour. Harbouline Naval Base and large anemity centre can also be seen from Monkstown. Further out is the famous Roches Point. and Spike Island.
Here in Monkstown we have several clubs,including tennis, golf, sailing and rowing, There is a walk/cycleway that can take one to Blackrock Castle and onto Cork City.There is a restaurant, pub and coffee shop in the village.There is a supermarket 2.5 kms from Monkstown .Other shopping places include Douglas (9kms), Carrigaline(6kms) and Mahon Point (11kms).
Cork City is 14kms from Monkstown. It is not a large city but it offers a wide range of places to visit, ie University Campus, English Market, Cork City Jail, St Finbarr's Cathedral, Shandon Bells and Art Gallery. Many other places which are within easy reach include beaches woodlands and parks ( Fota wild life park makes for a good day out)
Kinsale,a culinary and sailing town is 27kms away. Kinsale is also known as the starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way, a journey which could bring one through some beautiful coastal and country scenery. Out of Kinsale there are opportunities to go fishing, whale watching and water sports. Furher on from Kinsale one can see the beaches of Garrettston , Ownahincha and Inchadonney.
Day trips by car or bus could include interesting places such as Blarney, Killarney and the beautiful West Cork
