What you will love about this home

Our three bedroom house is new, and we find it warm and comfortable. The living area and two main bedrooms open onto decks with fabulous views. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, with off-street parking. We have comfortable queen-size beds in two bedrooms and a double/single bunkbed in the third. A cozy log fire with ample firewood is here for the winter months. You will enjoy Raglan's vibrant surfing scene, funky cafes and shops. Whaingaroa Harbour is extensive, with many coves and bays to explore. Safe harbour swimming and our kayaks are down a path below our house.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Our home is in a new housing development on Rangitahi Peninsula and offers views across Raglan (Whaingaroa) Harbour and surrounding countryside. We are five minutes' drive from the town centre, although we mostly cycle. Also nearby is Ngarunui Beach, a patrolled surf beach for swimming or board-riding, or learn to ride a board at the surf schools. Dedicated surfers come from around the world to ride the famous left-hand breaks at Manu Bay and Whale Bay.

We agree with Lonely Planet - "Laid-back Raglan may well be New Zealand's perfect surfing town. It's small enough to have escaped mass development but big enough to exhibit signs of life including good eateries and a bar that attracts big-name bands in summer. Along with the famous surf spots to the south, the harbour just begs to be kayaked upon. There's also an excellent arts scene, with several galleries and shops worthy of perusal".
