What you will love about this home
Flat by the sea, very close to Bilbao: our apartment is located in the center of a small and cozy fishing port called Plentzia, on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea (in the Bay of Biscay). It is modern, very bright, fully equipped and we have completely renovated it in 2017. It is a fourth floor with elevator and beautiful views of Plentzia estuary and beach, just a few minutes from the house. It has a spacious living room, two full bathrooms (with shower), a laundry room, a small terrace and four bedrooms, three of them exterior and with views of the beach. The main bedroom has a king-size bed; the other three bedrooms have single beds. All rooms have fitted wardrobes. We do not have parking but there are parking spaces under the house.
What you will love about this neighborhood
With the estuary as a central element and the beach as a tourist attraction, Plentzia is a pleasant and welcoming coastal town located 21.4 kilometers from Bilbao (25 minutes by car and 40 by underground), in a beautiful bay that overlooks the Cantabrian Sea. It has a beautiful port (2 minutes from the house) and a picturesque old town (founded in 1299), which combines popular marine architecture with mansion buildings. It has several kilometers of promenade on the banks of the estuary, dotted with small boats, and on the shores of the sea and with an extensive beach with exceptional characteristics to practice various water sports such as canoeing, paddle surfing, diving or windsurfing / surfing, as well as mountain walks. 22 minutes away from Bilbao airport, the house is perfectly located for day trips and visits to the Basque coast (Mundaka, Bakio, Lekeitio, Bermeo, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe,…), San Sebastián, Zarautz, Hondarribia, Getaria,… (1 hour away) as well as the French Basque Country -Biarritz, Hendaye, Saint Jean Pied de Port,…- (1 hour and a half away), La Rioja and its wonderful wines (1 hour and 45 minutes away) or Pamplona (2 hours).
