What you will love about this home
My flat is a 1BR big and bright space, situated on the 1st floor of a +100 years old tenement building in one of the conservation areas of the city. Still has the original wooden floors and massive bay windows that encourage light to come in. I work from home, and there's a workspace organized right in front of the big bay windows, just in case you need some creative and practical space for your own work and want to soak in some of the light at the same time.
The whole flat is a mix of original elements, inherited objects, new additions, quirky nooks and crannies, bits and bobs that reflect my personality and give the space a cozy, homey feel. I hope it will make you feel at home, too.
I love to cook and to have friends over for sharing a meal, and my flat has a big kitchen with everything you might need to make one (including recipe books and interesting spices from all over, brought from my travels or gifted by friends who know me well enough to support my passions - or just trying to buy their way in for a meal).
If you like cocktails, I am generally stocked up on Negroni ingredients. :) Alternatively, get a bottle of wine from the little grocer's shop around the corner, and enjoy it with some music indoors, or outside in the communal garden. On a nice sunny day, there's nothing nicer than to sit, sip and take the sunset in.

What you will love about this neighborhood
The flat is situated in a quiet area of the city, about 10-12 minutes walk from the Botanical Garden, and about 40 min walk to the city centre. There are also direct buses around the corner and local transport is very convenient in Edinburgh. My neighborhood is leafy and green, with a pretty good restaurant right across the street and a couple delis, plus easy grocers/wine shop around the corner.
There's an entrance to the bike path pretty much across the street and Wardie Bay beach (hyper local, postage stamp-sized beach, maybe 50 to 100 metres or so of sand and pebbles, amazing for wild swimming if you're into that) is about a 20-minute walk.
