What you will love about this home

When you're not on the beach (a 3 minute walk from our estate) there's plenty to keep everyone entertained with a bar, huge entertaining kitchen, 17ft in-ground trampoline, lots of outside terraces (including one with a gas fire and heater for cooler evenings). Our house is recently renovated with amazing facilities including a jacuzzi and full bar in the back garden.

Older kids love the pool table and dart board in the bar (we usually leave behind the PS5 and the wii too ....) . Small kids love the very large rooms and fully enclosed large back garden that's great to run around in. Adults love getting together in the bar or any of the many different indoor and outdoor seating areas. Sleeping 10 it's an ideal spot for extended family to gather (why not bring the grandparents, your teens friends or another couple!). There are plenty of desks and good broadband if you have to wfh.

Rosslare is an irish seaside tourist village in county wexford with a 10km stretch of blue flag beach. The house is right in the village so once you are here all the local amenities are within easy walking distance. There is a fabulous resort and spa hotel at the centre of the village, well renowned for top quality food (at reasonable prices as outside dublin). There are 2 links golf courses in the village and a driving range (1 an easy 12 hole ideal for learners / teens) and lots more in the surrounding area. Our house is in a quiet cul de sac of similar premium holiday homes with a mix of young families and older retired couples. We are a 1hr 50 drive south of dublin airport, or 10 minutes from Rosslare Europort (ferry services from Wales, France and recently Bilbao). The wider area is known as the sunny south east and our village reportedly has the best sunshine values in Ireland.

Wexford is a typical place for Irish families to holiday so there are many nearby day trips, things for children and teens to do and restaurants to cater to every interest. Although there are good train and bus services to go to the nearby large town (wexford) the area is not generally well served by public transport so most people use a car to get here.

Irish National Heritage park (a unique heritage experience in Ireland and Europe that brings to life over 9000 years of Irish history ) - 16 minute drive
Johnstown castle - 12 minute drive
Kilmore seafood village - 25 minute drive
Hook Head Lighthouse (worlds oldest operational lighthouse) - 53 mins
Glendalough (ancient monastic site in a spectacular national park) - 1hr 30 drive, but en route from dublin

Additional information

We have a 2011 seven seat Renault Scenic which we are happy to swap subject to insurance etc. No smoking in the house please and no large adult/young adult only groups. For a GP only stay a €100 cleaning fee is payable to cover linens & cleaning.
