Czech Siberia is a region that extends into the Central Bohemian Region and slightly into the South Bohemian Region. It could be defined by the towns of Vlašim, Benešov, Sedlčany, Sedlec-Prčice and south towards the town of Tábor. The centre of this area is the town of Miličín.
The beautiful hilly landscape full of forests, ponds, meadows, pastures and fields is an ideal place for everyone who likes to spend free time in nature. Hiking trails and cycle paths will take you to places such as Vrchotovy Janovice Chateau, the mountain with the Velký Blaník lookout tower, the ruins of Zvěřinec Castle, the Vítek brewery from Prčice or the Ounuz folk architecture settlement under the Javorová skála.
Mushroom pickers and fishermen will also find something to do here. In winter, the area is ideal for skiing lovers - downhill skiers use the Monínec Ski Resort and the surrounding meadows are perfectly groomed cross-country skiing trails, especially thanks to the Čertovo břemeno Community of Municipalities, which includes, for example, Jistebnice, Střezimíř, Borotín, Sedlec-Prčice and Nadějkov.
