What you will love about this home
Hi there! We're Freek and Laurence. Freek works as a copywriter and freelance journalist and Laurence is a photographer.
We live in an old laboratory that we transformed into a bright and open apartment. We tried to keep as much of the original elements as possible. We love art & design and will only welcome guests who like to be surrounded by beautiful things as well. Our apartment isn't completely finished (we still need to paint some walls etc) but it has everything you need!
The apartment has two bedrooms with each a double bed.
— The master bedroom (behind a steel window giving into the living room) has a boxspring of 180cm.
Please keep in mind that we don't have curtains until October 2024 so there is a connection with the living room.
— The second guest room has a bed of 140cm and a small sink.
Our bathroom has a bathtub, shower, two sinks, and a washing machine.
Our living room has several sofas and a round dining table for 4 people. The living room is attached to the big kitchen that has a gas cooking stove, a countertop oven (I generally hate these but this one's amazing!), a thermomix, a dishwasher, a moccamaster, and a fridge with freezer.
Next to this we also have a large dining room (this is where we work as well) that is attached to our sunny terrace of 17 m2.

What you will love about this neighborhood
We live a stone's throw from Dampoort, Ghent's second largest railway station. What should you know about Ghent? The student city with some 200,000 inhabitants has been known as a hidden gem for years. Students bring life to the city, entrepreneurs and artists bring creativity, and the Ghent people themselves are friendly, warm people with a sense of humor. Bear in mind that Ghent has one of the most beautiful centers in all of Europe, and you know you have to visit it at least once in your life.
Ghent is a very walkable city so perfect for a short citytrip!
