What you will love about this home

Our home is our dream home that I designed and my husband was the general contractor. Every evening we watch the sunset over the lake and every morning we drink coffee and observe the birds and wildlife. We love the indoor/outdoor aspect with 15 ft wide LaCatina sliding doors from the living room to the back deck. When weather permits, we enjoy the fire pit and the hot tub. The fireplace in the living room with the 20 ft ceilings makes it cozy. The kitchen is a chef's kitchen with everything you would need to make a special meal. Nearly every room has a view. There is an amazing master bathroom with a soaking tub and steam shower. The master bedroom looks out onto the back deck. The upstairs guest room is private with a lovely view. It's fun to sit on the front porch when it's too windy out back and watch the chickens. Our beds are ultra comfy. We are so grateful to live here.

What you will love about this neighborhood

We live on Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, WA. Portland is minutes away over the bridge. There is so much to do here for outdoor enthusiasts and if you're a shopper or city person that too is nearby. Mt. Hood is about an hour and 15 minutes. The Columbia River Gorge is about 20 minutes. There are trails for hiking and biking surrounding this area. The ocean is about a 2 hour drive and wine country is about 40 minutes from here. Our neighborhood feels rural as we're tucked away but we're close to downtown restaurants and amenities. The burnt bridge trail is about a 2 minute drive. The lake is good for sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and non motor boats. We're next door to the sailing club. You will see lots of eagles. along with ducks, geese, swans, hawks, herons, and my favorite the white American pelicans and of course many NW birds. We have chickens. ..It's very quiet & peaceful.
