What you will love about this home
Generally, reciprocal exchanges strongly preferred, minimum 7 nights.
Please do not contact me with GP requests for less than 14 nights.
Our home is a comfortable beach townhouse. It has never been a rental. We live in Portland and use it frequently. Sparkling clean and tidy, it has everything you need to enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The 3 upstairs bedrooms have vaulted ceilings which create a feeling of space. The master suite has an attached bathroom, and the other two bedrooms share a full hall bath. The third bathroom is a half bath on the first floor.
Master bedroom: King bed
Second bedroom: Queen bed
Third bedroom: Two twin beds
Enjoy the sound of croaking frogs as you fall asleep, and wake up to the birds singing and wall of green trees out your bedroom window. Brew some freshly ground coffee to enjoy by the fireplace or sitting in the sun outside.
As we love to cook, the kitchen has everything you need, and there is a gas grill on the deck as well. You can relax on the front deck, the large back deck, or take chairs down to the beach and watch the sunset. There are bikes, tennis racquets to use in the local park, golf clubs, skim boards, boogie boards, and a bocce set. There are both indoor and outdoor dining tables and a "flip the switch" gas fireplace. The TV room has a large leather sofa where you can watch movies or play Game Cube. There are many puzzles and board games as well.
Kitchen has the usual appliances and a dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee grinder, automatic drip coffeemaker, blender, immersion blender, hand blender, Cuisinart food processor, and toaster. There is also a pour over cone for making coffee, if you prefer.

What you will love about this neighborhood
Manzanita, Oregon is truly a place where you can get away from it all, breathe in the fresh coastal air, and look in awe at the natural beauty which surrounds you. It is an oasis which allows you to slow down and enjoy life peacefully. Our home is within easy walking distance to the main street, Laneda Ave. Walk half a mile down the main drag to the beach. The grocery store is one block away, the library is 2 blocks away, and there are several restaurants and boutique shops in town. You can go out for coffee, ice cream, donuts, candy/chocolates, wine tasting, whiskey tasting. We spend much of our time there hiking, biking, walking on the beach, or driving 15 minutes north or south for additional gorgeous hiking trails, kayaking, surfing, or shopping. We spend time reading, listening to music, playing games, and watching movies.
There is a 9 hole golf course which is very popular in the summer. Fishing, crabbing, and clamming nearby also. Around the corner from our place is a pottery studio, where you can try your hand at the potter's wheel or purchase something made by a local. A vibrant community of artists and writers, there are typically various events throughout the year. Friday evening Farmer's Market is also a favorite during the summer. Oswald West State Park is a 5 minute drive away, offering a great place to surf, hike, or just hang out on the beach.
