Description

Colin & Pam has described his/her home in English.

What you will love about this home

Relax and unwind in a wonderfully chillin’ cottage only 60 steps from the beach. Well equipped with a wood-burning fire for a cosy night in playing games, reading and chilling ( this is not Las Vegas!!!) whilst recovering from your adventures of the day. Main bedroom has a comfy king size bed and the second two single beds that can be put together to make a larger bed.
There is a patio at rear for a lazy warm evening with a grassy area between the 4 cottages at rear all in the same style and age of about 100 years probably built as fishermens cottages or workers on the Rhubana Estate which still owns much of the land in the area.
For a weather forecast look through the kitchen window and look over the mountains - you'll get the idea.
Due to booking throughout this year and Covid restrictions we are looking at home exchanges for 2022.

What you will love about this neighborhood

History and nature perfectly combined. For the energetic, walking from easy strolls along beaches to Ben Nevis ( 45 min drive ) the largest mountain in UK, sea kayaking, cycling, horse riding. Even the National Ice Climbing Centre is just over an hour away. For the less strenuous types bring your camera to see everything from White Tailed and Golden Eagles, dolphins, otters, seals et al. The famous Harry Potter train runs between Mallaig ( 4 miles ) and Fort William. Bonnie Prince Charlie both landed and escaped from this coastline when starting and ending the uprising against the English - he did get to Derby though!
All this and the sea trips abound either to the small isles or the ferry over the sea to Skye. The train and ferry are recommended to book well in advance. This is just a part of 'things to do' and not exhaustive!!
Also worth mentioning, the local people are incredible friendly and rely hugely on tourism, so spend all you can locally!
