What you will love about this home

This three-bedroom, 3.5-bath open plan of the living and family room looks out to a 30'x15' pool. Off the kitchen is a romantic dining room. The pool area with a swinging bed is surrounded by 8' high stucco walls with 6 arch doors leading to the pergola and a large yard bordered by eureka, fishtails, and clusia plants. Next to the barber's chair, a spiral staircase leads to the spacious bright master bedroom, floor-to-ceiling French windows, a clawfoot tub, and a bathroom with a bidet. The deck off the master overlooks the pool. Through arches in the living room are two other bedrooms each with a bathroom. Other plusses include a chef's kitchen, large pantry, outdoor grill, fire table, and dining under a flowing vine pergola. The family antiques, theater memorabilia, and eclectic furniture have unique stories. The property has many exotic plants and palms, including 3 hundred-year-old mango trees.

What you will love about this neighborhood

On the dead-end street with 8 homes each on spacious lush properties steps away from the Caloosahatchee River and Whiskey Creek and located on the water side of McGregor Blvd. Well situated midway between the historical City of Palms, Ft Myers with the Edison Ford Winter Estate (20 minutes) and Sanibel Island or Ft Myers Beach (30 minutes). Easily accessible are groceries, shopping, medical centers, Deep Lagoon Marina for fishing, and other amenities including year-round live theater at Players Circle.

Additional information

My husband and I have produced live theater in southwest Florida for 40 years, Robert directs and I act in the plays currently at Players Circle Theater. We are 2 years from retirement and wish to travel abroad and here in the States. We have lived in our home for 27 years, where we raised our world traveler son and married daughter. Casa Cacioppo has hosted cast and donor parties, and salon dinner parties, and was featured in several magazine articles on many of those events. The house was manicured for our daughter's 2022 wedding reception, and new patios were added. Players Circle Theater rehearsed many shows and housed actors in our residence. After Hurricane Ian, we improved our home with a second master bedroom ensuite bathroom on the first floor.
