What you will love about this home
We are a family with two boys aged 18 and 23, my husband is a landscape architect, I'm an architect, but working as a freelance graphic artist.
We live in a row house from the 1930s i a quiet residential area of Munich. Its an old building and has its quirks, but it´s very cosy.
The house has a small front garden facing the street and a larger garden facing the quiet neighborhood.
The ground floor of the house is a large open space with a kitchen and a living room with exit to terrace and garden.
On the first floor there are two children's rooms (with a 1.40m double bed each) with bath and a tiny little spare room, which only fits a 1m wide bed. We have a non-smoking house!
In the attic is my office, and over a steep samba staircase you reach a gallery with a bed, also 1.40m wide and an additional bathroom. The stairs to the gallery are really steep and without railings, so please do not put children in the attic!
We provide hammocks for the garden and we also have several bikes that can be used.
Our additional family member is a small dachshund, which we normally don't take on holiday, but it´s not sure if our dog sitter can take over, so we PERHAPS are forced to take the dog with us.
Basically we wish that our guests handle our things as responsible as we do with their things :-)

What you will love about this neighborhood
Our residential area is located in the southeast of Munich.
Thanks to Munich relaxed atmosphere during summer, local call Munich "Italys furthest northern city".
The city centre with a great choice of museums, beer gardens and the river Isar (where you can jump into on hot days) can be reached quickly by public transport or bike.
The motorway for trips to the mountains, to the lakes (Tegernsee, Ammersee, Starnberger See, Kochelsee, Walchensee, Schliersee......) or to Austria is only 4 minutes away.
By bike you can reach the new quarter called Werksviertel in 8 minutes. A new concert hall is being built there and it is a place for artists and musicians. So is Haidhausen with a bunch of beautiful cafes and tiny shops.
From railwaystation Ostbahnhof you can reach every destination within and outside of Munich.
