What you will love about this home
Interested in a 3-day weekend exchange in Southern California such as Joshua Tree Please note - we are currently exchanging our 3-bedroom front home which sleeps 5 as well as the studio apartment (called The Nest) which is behind our home. It is up a flight of stairs and is best for 1-2 persons. See the first 8 photos to get an idea of what it looks like. You can learn more on our airbnb page:

This is a new, clean, quiet and clutter-free retreat! We hope you enjoy the serenity!
Sorry, but no pets and no smoking permitted on the property. We want to keep The Nest allergy free. There is a $75 cleaning fee, payable by Venmo or Zelle.
We will also exchange our house which can sleep 5, mostly for reciprocal exchanges. Reach out and we will let you know which is available.
About our house:
Our solar-powered home was built in 1933 and retains the original hardwood floors and glass doorknobs. We have a wood burning fireplace as well as central heating and air conditioning. The house is small with a master bedroom/bath, and two additional bedrooms. There is a twin bed in the smaller blue room, and a twin bed that can be converted to a comfortable king-sized bed in the burgundy room. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. We love wood furniture (especially English pine) which you will find throughout the house. The kitchen is fairly large with an eating area within. There are guitars, a piano, and a couple hand drums for your use. Our street is quiet and residential, but just a block away are shops, many restaurants, cafes, bakeries, a bookstore, movie studios, and a movie theater and a playhouse. We are two blocks from a park with a tennis court, and a bike path (to Marina Del Rey and the beach). You are welcome to borrow a couple bikes.

What you will love about this neighborhood
At the end of our street we have a beautiful new coffee spot called Super Domestic Coffee with a bicycle theme and great coffees, matcha lattes, etc. Next door is Monroe Place, a delicious sandwich shop, and Des Croissants Paris, an amazing new bakery owned by a French baker selling baguettes, croissants, and other French treats.
Our part of Culver City is known as the "Arts District" with 33 galleries and an arts bookstore. A few blocks away you'll find Father's Office, whose burgers were named best in LA, Cool Haus which serves amazing ice cream and ice cream sandwiches., Co-opportunity, a large health food store, Cognoscenti a nationally famous coffee purveyor, Pasta Sisters a reasonably priced outdoor Italian restaurant, and various other small boutiques like the gorgeous Midland for gifts and women's and children's clothes.
A 10 minute walk away you'll find Platform, with trendy clothes shops, Blue Bottle Coffee, Boba Guys, Soul Cycle, Roberta's Brooklyn Pizza, gorgeous Margot for a special rooftop California Cuisine meal, Sweet Green for salads, the amazing new Bianca Bakery, and lots of high-end clothing and gift boutiques.
Mexican restaurants in every direction if you're in the mood for yummy tacos.
Downtown Culver City (20 minute walk) has The historic Culver Hotel (the Wizard of Oz Munchkins stayed here) for drinks, dinner and live jazz, plus Citizen Market which is a European style indoor food court with outdoor seating, and many restaurants including our favorite, Cafe Vida. A Beer-tasting restaurant called City Tavern is fun. Also downtown are two fantastic bookstores- Village Well Books and Coffee has a great vibe with wifi and a wonderful selection of books. On Main Street is the Ripped Bodice, a pretty romance novel bookstore, and it's just around the corner from the enticing Milla Chocolates, and artisan chocolate shop. Also on Main Street are sports bars, a baby clothes store, some unique bakeries and a noodle place.
The Michelin starred restaurant Vespertine is a 10-minute walk into the Hayden tract, as is Destroyer, a gorgeous cafe for breakfast and lunch. There are many buildings in the Hayden tract known for their gorgeous architecture and design. Culver City is the coolest part of LA! But our street is quiet and safe.
