Description

Nathalie and Mark has described his/her home in English, French.

What you will love about this home

This is a coastal beach property with stunning views. It has easy access to water and water activities with 3 kayaks, 1 SUP board, fishing rods and bikes in the garage. The house offers open-plan living, 2 bedrooms upstairs with a double bed and a single bunk bed on top each and 2 open sofas in the lounge. In summer, a couple of large shade sails can be placed on the deck and the dining table and chairs can stay outside. It is fully equipped with coffee machine, jug, electrical stove and oven, microwave, washing machine and dryer, fridge and beer fridge. Bed linen, towels and beach towels are available (to be washed on departure for future guests). We have a good collection of DVDs for rainy days and boardgames, jigsaw puzzles and books. We have life jackets for adults and children.
There is no WIFI, best way is to get a cheap simcard from a dairy and hotspot it.
The top dwelling is private.
We need some points to travel to Europe.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Our house is situated in a beautiful bay and has stunning view of the estuary and beach. You can relax or enjoy the walk along the 800m beach towards "Butterfly bay" to the west or climb the rocks at low tide or kayak at high tide to "Marble Bay" to the East. Kayaking is also an option to go to the "Arrows island" or to the small reef rocks just off the beach.
One-day trips are numerous and the region is full of great destinations: deep sea fishing from Whangaroa Harbour, hiking the "Nose Duke", visiting the Bay of Islands with Pahia and the Cream trip (hole in the Rock), Waitangi, KeriKeri, Russell, and the Whales and Dolphin watching trips, Manginagina Kauri forest, Golf at Karikari Peninsula, eat at the reknow fish and chips place in Mangonui. Cape Reinga is feasible in one day from our bach.

Additional information

We are on water tank (rain water) and septic tank so we ask you to save water for other future guests. Placing the hose in the sun will garantee a nice warm shower on the deck when coming back from the beach.
The big table can be placed outside during your stay and there is a set of shade sails that can be installed for shade on the main deck.
There is no rubbish collection in our village. All rubbish and recycle have to be brought to Whangaroa harbour, just before the game fishing club. You will need a prepaid green bag for normal rubbish to be bought from the bait shop at the harbour or from Kaeo Four Square. (We provide the first bag for you to be replaced for furture guests).
We do not have a cleaning person to check after you and we trust that you will leave the place in a good state for future guests.
