What you will love about this home
Our house is a nice, cozy single family home in a suburb South of Munich
The house was originally built in 1959 and has been recently remodeled. Downstairs is a well equipped kitchen, a dining area and living room. Upstairs are two bedrooms for children and a study with a lovely balcony and the family bath. On the top floor is a small office and the master bedroom. Since we have a comfortable sleeper couch in the living room, the house theoretically sleeps 8 (we´ve actually slept here with 6 adults and 4 kids), but it will be more comfortable for 6 people or less.
The garden is absolutely lovely - it is large by Munich standards - with fruit trees, many flowers, a trampoline.
WiFi, Disney +, Netflix, a piano, lots of books, many board games and a rather limited DVD collection.
There is a garage and an extra shed where we keep our bikes etc. You´re welcome to use our bikes (four bikes).
There will be no need to take care of the garden - aside from watering.

What you will love about this neighborhood
There are so many things you can do both in the area and in Munich itself. Lakes and mountains, monasteries and castles - strenuous climbing and easy hikes: Neuschwanstein is an hour and a half away, but there are many discoveries to be made in the more immediate vicinity. And Munich itself offers city life and nightlife, world-class museums, opera and concerts. And of course, biergardens. We will provide you with abundant information on what to do, based on your interests.
Our house is located in a suburb in the European sense, which means easy access to downtown via public Transport (8 stops on the S 7 Train, which is in walking distance) and all shops for your daily needs are in walking distance. There are some really good restaurants in the vicinity, a cinema, hiking trails, horse back riding, yoga classes - let us know what your are interested in.
If you want to venture further than Bavaria: the train from Munich East station takes 90 minutes to Salzburg, Austria, and a good four hours to Vienna. It is about three hours by train to Prague.
The train to Venice is five hours (a lovely route) and it carries you right into the center of the city. There are over-night trains to Rome, too.
