What you will love about this home
Our home is situated in the beautiful county of Dorset, five minutes from the famous beaches of Sandbanks in Poole.
It has a large open plan conservatory attached to the modern well equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave etc). The conservatory has a comfortable seating area and separate dining area. It opens onto the large decking area with both lounging and dining area. The garden gets lots of sun as it is south facing and has a gas barbecue. It has recently had astro turf laid so is great for playing football/basketball etc. We have a table tennis table also. The living room has TV and DVD player, with sky TV, including sky sports. We also have a stereo with speaker links to the study, kitchen and top floor bedroom and bathroom. There is a study/snug area. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and another fridge freezer. There is also a downstairs toilet. We also have an infrared sauna in the garage.
On the first floor are three double bedrooms, one with en-suite and a family bathroom. There is also a yoga studio which can be used as an additional bedroom if needed with two single mattresses. On the top floor is a large double bedroom with ensuite. Currently the house sleeps eight, but there are 2 spare mattresses and travel cot that can be used in the yoga studio to increase that.
There is off road parking for three cars and a garage. As we live close to the sea there are plenty of beach toys and two boogie boards for your use. Occasionally there is surf in Bournemouth and we have a long board and wet suits that can be used. At the end of our road is a small supermarket, restaurant/bar, 2 cafes and bakery, and a fish and chip shop. There are also two shops which can organise windsurfing and paddle board hire.

What you will love about this neighborhood
Poole has some great restaurants and beaches, all very close by. It is known for its family friendly safe beaches. We are often down on the beach barbecuing after school. In the summer there is entertainment during the evenings for the kids, including fabulous fireworks displays, and we get some of the best weather in the UK. It is also thought to have some of the best kite surfing and windsurfing in Europe in the harbour.
The more rugged West Dorset is also close by, made more famous by the sailing at the Olympics in Weymouth. To the East is the New forest, famous for its walking trails and horse riding. There are also lovely walks in West Dorset, or road or mountain biking with some lovely country pubs to visit. West Dorset is also known for its beautiful beaches, namely Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. There is also the option of sailing from Poole itself. There are two marinas within walking distance of our house which can hire out sailing boats, jet skis and speed boats.
There are plenty of day trips possible to places like Monkey World, Abbotsbury Swannery, the aquarium at Weymouth, Marwell zoo and the beautiful cathedral city of Winchester.
Bournemouth Airport is only 10 miles away with plenty of cheap flights to Europe, often easier than going from the bigger London airports. Having said that, Parkstone train station is 15 minutes walk away with regular trains to London Waterloo, taking only two hours.
We also have close links to Northern France by the ferry, direct from Poole, and the Channel Islands.
We often feel we have the best of both worlds, beautiful beaches and countryside and yet with in easy reach of London for the sights there.
Previous exchange visitors have enjoyed visits to London, Stonehenge, Bath, Salisbury and even Harry Potter world.
