What you will love about this home
Our home is an expression of us. It is homey, light and airy, and unassuming. We have a large living space that is full of our books, pictures, and interests. We have added an area in the back of the room (oak bar with four chairs) that has added more seating and eating room. All the furniture is new but with an emphasis on comfort. All seating in living area is reclining. Our TV is a 65” smart tv with full access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. we stream through Hulu.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, dishes, pots and pans, and the basic condiments and spices. We have a gas stove, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator. Our eating area is adjacent to our kitchen. Our dining table sits six comfortably. We have four folding chairs.
The large windows in this area look out on an open area. It is a virtual view into the world of nature. We have many bird feeders that are often visited by red-winged blackbirds, bluebirds, cardinals, red-headed woodpeckers, hummingbirds and many more species. Our forest garden is beautiful in any season.
The bedroom that our grandchildren usually occupy can sleep 4. It has a daybed with a twin mattress (trundle) under it. It also has a futon that opens into a large double bed. It also has a TV mounted on the wall so the boys can use the room as a play room also.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed, TV, and a reading area. Both rooms have large closets. The bathroom services both bedrooms. It has a full bath and shower.
The third bedroom is the master. It is large and bright. I wake up singing, "And the sun came in like butterscotch and stuck to all my senses!" It has a king sized bed. The bathroom is attached. It has an over sized tub and shower. Outside the bedroom door is the laundry room.
A $150 cleaning fee insures that our home will be clean as you leave and we return.

What you will love about this neighborhood
Tidewater is a lushly beautiful gated golf community in the middle of the golf capitol of the USA. Our golf course has been called the Pebble Beach of the east and has been rated the #1 golf course in SC last year. It is so much more than just golf. We have a huge swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, fitness center, daily fitness classes, a community cabana on the ocean, and a clubhouse with a restaurant. It is located 5 minutes from the beach and ten minutes from North Carolina's Brunswick County. Our neighbors are friendly and helpful. We love living in our paradise.
At the end of the road leading to Tidewater there is a lovely undeveloped island, Waties Island. Bill and I belonged to the turtle patrol there for fourteen years. It is used partly as research area for Coastal Carolina U. There is a horse back riding facility there (Inlet Point Plantation) that allows you to ride on the deserted beach. It is beautiful.
The Myrtle Beach area offers amazing golf and lots of it-including miniature golf. There are great beaches, gardens, amusement/theme parks, dining, theaters, shagging (local dance for which we are noted), live entertainment of every genre, malls with every type of shopping, state parks (try Huntington State Park for natural beach beauty), and much more. The area is also rich in history. Brookgreen Gardens, Conway, Georgetown, Charleston, and Savannah all are places to visit for some hands on history of the USA. They are all within driving distance. It truly is a family place to vacation.

You can always find something to do in Tidewater. Our golf course is one of the best in SC. Our community pool/hot tub are large, beautiful and inviting. There are tennis courts, pickleball courts and basketball courts. During the summer outdoor concerts are performed.
It is only a five minute drive to the beach. NMB is the shag capitol of the world and watching the pros dance in Fat Harold's etc. is a fun time. Or you can learn to shag! The area is also full of great places to eat.
There are many mini golf courses. There are fishing piers and fishing trips galore. There is a gambling ship that goes out to the sea where is is legal! There is a horseback riding stable 2 miles away on an isolated island. You can ride on the beach!
