Our charming period terraced home offers a blend of Victorian character, contemporary design and practicality. From its spacious layout to its attractive outside space and desirable location, our home will appeal to families seeking a comfortable and stylish stay, 15 minutes tram ride from Manchester city centre.
The open-plan and modern kitchen-diner is a focal point to share family and social gatherings. This space also seamlessly connects with the outdoors thanks to our bi-fold doors that allow guests to enjoy the sounds of summer birds singing in the morning, wonderful view of St Mary’s church and British sunshine (!)
Our cosy living and dining areas are sanctuaries for relaxation during the evenings. Use these as comforting retreats, allowing you to unwind after a busy day by dining, playing games, watching TV, listening to music, reading, playing piano, connecting online or hatching a plan for tomorrow’s adventure.
Upstairs, guests will be able to rest in one of three large double bedrooms. The large master bedroom has a king size bed and fitted wardrobes. The other two bedrooms are kitted out as children's (one has bunk-beds and the other has a single bed that can convert into a comfortable large double bed). There are plenty of children's toys, games and activities available.
Guests have use of a modern bathroom that comes equipped with a drench shower and bath. A separate downstairs toilet is also an added convenience.
All of our rooms are served by modern appliances. Guests have access to gas central heating, a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, drench shower, ultrafast WiFi, TV (bring a firestick) with soundbar, washing line.

Our road is renowned in our village for it's excellent location. The entrance to Prestwich Clough (expansive forest and trails) is 1 minute from the front door. A children’s playground is a 2 minute stroll. St Mary’s park (playground, open space, tennis courts) and Prestwich Flower Garden are a 10 minute walk. Heaton Park (playgrounds, farm, stables, boat lake, picnics, park run, events, star gazing), which is the biggest park in Greater Manchester and largest municipal park in Europe, is only a 20 minute walk away, or 1 stop away on the tram. Being so near to these beautiful green spaces and parks offers a refreshing escape from the urban hustle, providing opportunities for leisurely strolls, picnics, play or simply enjoying the tranquillity of nature.
Prestwich also has a bustling bar and restaurant scene. Our personal favourites include All The Shapes , Remal Lebanese Restaraunt, award winning Chips @ No.8, Dokes Pizzeria, The Goods Inn, Codi’s sushi, The Coffee Sack, Croma Pizza, Cuckoo, Grape to Grain and Osma (Feat. Michelin Guide). All of these are within walking distance to the home.
There are also a number of supermarkets nearby - Aldi, Marks and Spencer and Tesco are all within walking distance. Village Greens is a community owned co-op located in the village. Keg, cask and bottle is a cracking beer shop right next door to Village Greens.
Additionally, the convenience of a 15-minute tram ride (the tram stop is a 10 minute walk) to the city ensures that you can easily access the vibrant energy and amenities of Manchester. Sport fans can reach Old Trafford for both Football (Manchester United FC) and Cricket (Lancashire CC) directly by tram (30 minutes) on the Altrincham line. The Etihad Campus (Manchester City FC) can be accessed in 30 minutes by changing trams at Piccadilly Station.
The rest of England is also easily explored from our home which is 2 minutes from Junction 17 of the M60 motorway. The Lake District can be reached by car in 1 hour 30 minutes. The Peak District and Yorkshire are also accessible by a short car journey. The west coast can be accessed in just over an hour. The east coast can be reached in a couple of hours. National rail services can also be easily accessed by taking the tram to either Victoria Station (Leeds - 1 hour) or Piccadilly Station (London - 2 hours 15).

We have a low maintenance Siberian cat named Eric, aged 2 years old. He will enjoy being fed twice a day, along with his litter tray upkeep. We get lots of joy from playing with and cuddling him - we are sure that guests will love him too!
