Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa
The house, sea views and location. Our house is a newly renovated & extended 100 year old cottage with amazing sea views from the main living area and the main bedroom. The house has everything you would expect in a modern house and more. We have a large enclosed garden perfect for playing football or for kids to run around that backs onto farm fields overlooking the Irish Sea (you can even see Wales on a clear day). The house is located between Greystones & Bray, and both offer loads of great restaurants and bars to go to, and plenty of activities for kids to keep them entertained for weeks. A bus route passes the front door that will take you to Bray or Greystones in 10 minutes. From there you can get the Dart into Dublin city center in 30minutes. There is loads of very scenic walks that can be done from the house including the spectacular Bray to Greystones cliff walk. If you like getting out for walks you can't beat this house.
Lo que te va a encantar del barrio
The walks, the sea, the restaurants, the mountains, the beaches.
Greystones is located on the north east coast of County Wicklow, also known as the garden of Ireland. There is any amount of walks and activities to keep you busy for months on end. (https://visitwicklow.ie/) You are also within an easy 1 hour commute to Dublin City Centre (https://www.visitdublin.com/) and all it has to offer.
In 2021 Greystones was awarded the Worlds Most Livable Community in the LivCom awards (https://www.rte.ie/news/2008/1110/110288-greystones/).
Our house backs onto the beautiful Bray to Greystones cliff walk (https://visitwicklow.ie/listing/cliff-walk-bray-to-greystones/)
The amazing Belmont Demesne is within a short 10 minute walk of the house with it's lovely walks, mountain biking tracks and cafe. (https://belmontdemesne.ie/)
Kilruddery Estate is a 15 minute walk and again offers beautiful walks, an amazing Farmers market on Saturdays, beautiful food in the Grain Store restaurant/cafe. (https://killruddery.com/)
The world renowned Heritage site of Glendalough is a 30 minute drive away as well as all the other places to visit in the Wicklow Mountains (https://glendalough.ie/). You won't run out of places to visit.
The seaside town of Bray is a 10 minute bus ride from our front door with it's lovely promenade to walk along, numerous bars & restaurants including the Harbour Bar which was voted best bar in the world by Lonely Planet (https://www.independent.ie/regionals/braypeople/news/bray-bar-the-best-on-the-planet-27638243.html).
On top of all that you have a number of beaches within a few minutes. The Cove is a lovely small stone beach with steps for kids to jump in from. If the water is too cold you can jump in the sauna just across the road at the Rise cafe to warm up again post swim. The south beach is a nice long beach that backs onto Greystones main street and has lifeguard services during the summer months. Great for long walks or swimming. The North Beach is a long secluded quiet beach great for a walk if you want to get away from any crowds and you'll regularly see seals swimming or relaxing just off the shore.
Greystones & Bray have a great selection of cafe's & restaurants to cater for all tastes. There's the vegan / vegetarian Happy Pear cafe (https://thehappypear.ie/about/), Chakra for fine Indian dining (https://www.chakra.ie/), The Hungry Monk, Las Tapas, Pink Salt, the Harbour Bar, The Beach House, the list goes on. You won't be hungry.
