Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa
Our house itself is a classic French village home with a stone facade, tomettes and hardwood flooring. We have a large and loving diningroom table which sits at the heart of our house for big meals and board games.
The lower level of our house is where our three kids sleep with their own bathroom. The masterbedroom and bathroom are on the top level.
Just off the kitchen is our garden with enough space to play a round of croquet, have a bbq and enjoy some meals outside.

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio
Samois sur Seine, a cobblestoned wonderland just south of Paris, is packed with sweet stone houses, climbing roses, old churches and a family of swans who live along the Seine river which runs through our village. There is a bakery, a few restaurants, a pharmacy, a small grocery shop, a doctor and a post office within walking distance from our house. Here is a link to a video made by the local tourism office which covers Fontainebleau and the surrounding villages... the scene shot on a white bridge is Samois! https://www.fontainebleau-tourisme.com/en/welcome/
10 minutes away by car (and a rental car is necessary for seeing the sights and grocery shopping) is the larger town of Fontainebleau with its famous Chateau which is as pretty as Versailles if you ask me! https://www.chateaudefontainebleau.fr.
In town there are a multitude of butchers, bakers, cheese shops, wine caves, book shops, clothing shops... everything French you would need or want or dream of without the crowds of Paris. And a farmer's market three times a week.
Paris, is of course not far away. A 10 minutes drive in the opposite direction will bring your to the village of Bois le Roi where you can easily catch a train transilien R to Paris. Trains come every 20 minutes or so and it takes 35 minutes to get to Gare de Lyon from where you can connect to anywhere else easily via the metro underground system.
Surrounding our house is the world famous Fontainebleau Forest which is known for bouldering, a form of rock climbing, which you can see here https://boulderfont.info. There are miles and miles of trails and hikes to enjoy. There is also another lovely near by Château called Vaux le Vicomte which has a garden designed by le Notre. http://vaux-le-vicomte.com/en/ And beautiful Burgundy is only a couple of hours drive south if ever you wanted to add an excursion to Beaune. https://www.beaune-tourism.com/en
