Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa
Nestled behind a sand dune, our home is in a single family neighborhood. You can dine El fresco on the kitchen deck, or at our big dining room table.
This is an ocean front home in Ponte Vedra , FL - just north of St.Augustine.
We live here and we like to meet and greet you when you come to our home and show you around.
Our spacious pet free home is in a residential ocean front neighborhood, very private and set back from the road Just take the stairway over the dune and you are on the beach ( only 12 steps down and you'll feel the sand between your toes.).
Turtles nest on our beach from April through October.. They are federally protected and it's fun to watch the hatchlings.
Winter brings Right Whales to our area. They come here to calve.
Fully stocked kitchen.
High speed Wifi and 3 Flat Screen HDTVs - one is in the Master BR , the other in the Living/Rm and one in the Downstairs den.
We are across the road from the Guana nature preserve, which has no houses. It has an education center and offers Kayaking, paddle board rentals and many ranger walks and hiking trails. In our long driveway, free parking.
We walk the beach daily and it is possible to walk over ten miles or more. Just be sure to stay hydrated.
We do ask that you take care as there is a bike lane that runs by the road side of our house. The driveway is long, so just exit going frontwards.
Everyone agrees we have the most beautiful and underpopulated beach in the area.
The bedrooms are all on the ocean side of the house.
There is a deck off the kitchen as well as one off of the Master bedroom.
The house has central heat and air conditioning.
The Master bedroom has a King Sz bed: One BR with king, another with a Queen sz bed, One bedroom w/ a set of twin antique beds ( no jumping on beds or eating in the bedrooms, please) and a downstairs den area with a queen sz sleeper.
Garage., washer/ dryer. Also there is an outside shower, along with 2 full bathrooms.
Towels and linens are provided for up to 8 people.
We can recommend local restaurants.
Home is not suitable for children under 5 or those without an ability to easily climb up and down stairs.
We especially enjoy going left out of our driveway to eat at the Reef or at Caps on the Intercoastal Waterway. CAPS has the best sunsets in the area, everyone agrees. Golfing opportunities are abundant and just a short drive away.
We're 7 miles South of the TPC /Sawgrass - a favorite for golfers, and their restaurant is usually open to the public.
Every thing St. Augustine FL has to offer is 8-10 miles South
Savannah GA is an easy 1.5 hr drive north
Disney is 2-2.5 hrs South
The Nights of Lights in St. Augustine is a very popular attraction from mid November to late January .It has been rated highly by National Geographic and Conde and other publications.
The Alligator farm in St. Augustine is a zoological research facility as much as an entertainment place- it has a zipline and it is a huge hit with kids. The Black Raven Pirate ship is fun for kids too and the Fountain of Youth is an older attraction abundant with peacocks.
Founded in 1865, St. Augustine has a lot of history.
The First Friday of the month evening’s Art walk highlights local and some more seasoned artists.
Music venues - We are 15 mi from the St. Augustine Ampitheatre and 5 miles from the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.
The TPC Golf is only seven miles away.
If you're up for the climb, we highly recommend the St. Augustine Lighthouse on a clear day. Be prepared to climb. The view at sunset is especially nice. You might even see a green parrot or two. If you are here for a full moon, check out whether the light house is doing their wine and cheese party.
The Jacksonville Zoo is a hit with kids too - about 45 minute drive North, near airport.
Mickey and Universal are a one and a half hour drive from here. Legoland a 2 hr drive.
Going North, you can be in Savannah in 2-2.5 hours. ( Most convenient place to fly to is JAX but often Savannah's flights are less expensive). To the Southwest is Orlando. Orlando International airport - approx 2 hour drive.
Sorry you can't bring any 4 legged friends. NO SMOKING>Allergic to cats/dogs. we do not offer car exchange.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Nearest airport - commercial is JAX
Details on entering and leaving the house (Key codes, etc.) are provided prior to your arrival.
We require all guests be vaccinated. There is a cleaning fee of between $200 and $250 that you can pay directly to the cleaner.
This is a private home, not a rental. No wild parties , smoking or pets.
Enjoy!!!

Lo que te va a encantar del barrio
Our home is heaven! Need we say more? Enjoy great a sunrise or sunset from the decks or on the beach. Walk for miles (just remember that you have to walk back.....) Just North of our home is a 4.5 mile stretch of beach without any houses on it. Sometimes people walk a little bit farther than they intend.
Ponte Vedra is what is referred to as a "barrier island". You can get here by car over a number of bridges.
It is one of the few places in the world that has a beach of coquina sand, and the only area in Florida where you will find this.
Lease terns and a variety of sea turtles nest here. Brown pelicans and other birds are abundant. We have had as many as 3 turtle nests in front of our house!
Turtle nesting season is May to October.
The Guana Preserve and Education Center are just a 3 miles South of our home. You can hike there or go on ranger guided nature walks.
The nations "Oldest City" - St. Augustine offers extensive history and has a thriving arts community and a variety of restaurants - about 8/10 miles South of our house.
Visitors love the European feel of St. Augustine. There is a 35 ft height limit in the area so you won't see any high rises.
Golfers like the proximity to the TPC, Sawgrass and other courses.
You will need a car if you come to our house.
