Was Sie an dieser Unterkunft lieben werden
We are exchanging a large Victorian house (11 rooms and 3235 sq. ft/ 300m2) in the Greater Boston area, in a pleasant residential and child-friendly neighborhood (Newton), located just 10 minutes away from downtown Boston. Newton has frequently been voted as one of the 10 best and safest communities to live in in the US.
Our house (built in 1888) has three floors. Downstairs you will find: a spacious gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and central island (with a huge collection of cookbooks!), an adjacent dining-room, a toilet and shower, a living-room with fireplace, a music room/library with piano, and many books (in English and in French). The second floor has a large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, three bedrooms with double or queen beds and desks, an open sun room with attractive views that we use as a TV room (with sofa bed), and a full bathroom. The third floor includes a guest room with a full-size bed and a spacious office. There is High Speed wireless Internet throughout the house.
The house can sleep 7-9 people comfortably (and possibly more). It has all the comfort that you might expect (washer & dryer, comfortable bedding, etc.). We have many board games for all ages and an outside ping-pong table. There is a pleasant front porch with rocking chairs and a patio at the back (fully equipped with benches, tables and chairs, gas grill, and a fire-pit) within a small fenced garden. There is a lovely green space/communal garden in front of our house where children can play.

Our property is situated in a desirable, quiet, very safe, and child-friendly neighborhood in a historic district filled with beautiful houses. We are only 10 minutes by car from downtown Boston on the turnpike, and 15 minutes from Cambridge and Harvard Square, along the Charles River. Buses and a fast commuter rail to Boston are also available nearby. Pubs, cafés, restaurants and shops are only a 2-3 minute walk at the end of our street.
All necessary shops and 3 supermarkets (Whole Foods, Shaws and Trader Joe's) are within walking distance. Access to several parks and free tennis courts around the corner. In the summer, you can use our town pass for swimming in a small nearby lake or in the local outdoor pool. The Boston area offers multiple pleasures for lovers of culture, art, music, and science, and for families with children: museums (Museum of Fine arts, Isabella Gardner Museum, Fogg, Sackler collection, Childrens' Museum, Science Museum, Planetarium, Aquarium, John Kennedy Museum etc. ), historical sites (Beacon Hill, Plymouth, Boston Tea Party, Concord, Lexington, etc. ), M.I.T. and the University of Harvard. Beautiful beaches less than an hour away, whale watching, Cape Cod (fast ferry to Provincetown from the Boston Harbor), and the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Boston has great food and a huge choice of restaurants. Express train to New-York in 3 hours.
