Was Sie an dieser Unterkunft lieben werden
Enjoy the best of New Orleans in our historic Victorian Camelback, built in 1861. Great location, excellent walk-ability. Spacious, comfortable, & charming.
Close to everything; walk 3 blocks to world famous Commander's Palace, stroll down oak and mansion lined St. Charles Ave, go antiquing on Magazine St, ride the St. Charles Streetcar down to the French Quarter or up to the Universities and Audubon Park, visit the WWII Museum, and dine at any of the myriad of restaurants that make New Orleans a foodie paradise.
This lovingly restored home is 3 floors and comfortably sleeps 4 guests. There is a private entrance with a courtyard and a second floor balcony. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, if you ever get tired of dining out. There is one full bath on the second floor and a half bath on the ground floor. There are two bedrooms, one on the second floor and one on the third, and two sitting rooms. There is a comfortable full size sofa bed in the second floor sitting room. There is a shared washer and dryer on the premises.
THINGS TO KNOW:
Our home is a 4-plex. We prefer 4 or fewer guests but a family of 5 is fine. We have long term tenants in the two front units. This unit is one of the two back units. We live in the other back unit. We utilize this home as a private guest house for friends, family, and short-term rentals. When not traveling, we can be available to answer questions and give recommendations if you so desire. We are also happy to be invisible and respect your privacy.
Just a note for those with mobility issues: The apt is 3 stories high so there are a lot of stairs. We have 12 ft ceilings so the flight of stairs to get to the 2nd floor, where the full bath is located, is longer than average. The bathrooms were added to the home well after it was built so they are small, as one would expect in a very old house. It could be uncomfortable for some guests to maneuver. Unfortunately our home is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

We live in a quiet residential neighborhood in the Uptown area. It's a beautiful oak lined street flanked by historic homes. The Garden District, St Charles Ave, Magazine St, shops, cafes, restaurants, historic sites, nightlife, music, and everything else this magical city has to offer are all right here. The historic St. Charles streetcar is just a block and a half away. Downtown and the French Quarter are easily accessible via streetcar, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds: the lush beauty of Uptown and the vibrant city scene Downtown and in the French Quarter.
