Was Sie an dieser Unterkunft lieben werden
Located nicely between Copenhagen and Denmark's most beautiful Beaches. Enjoy the sight of a classic castle on the outskirts of town and a historic windmill right around the corner. Our home is large 5 bedroom, 230 sq meter, 1912 renovated historic house that was the village community center with original wood floors. Architecturally interesting arched windows give a light and spacious feeling. Plenty of rooms to enjoy and spread out in after a day of family sightseeing. Our village is nicely accessible (via fast train or multi lane highway) to the sights of Copenhagen including the Little Mermaid, Tivoli, Design museum and Nyhavn harbor.
Four electric reclining chairs in the living room sofa seating for that ahhhhh moment at the end of the day. Has a large dinning table, adjustable elevation beds, and a soaking tub. Toys for kids 4 and up. Our home is not baby or toddler proofed however. Garden for relaxing and fulled enclosed for playing with trampoline and swing. A local kid comes to cut the grass so you don't have to :)
Charming village life in Denmark with a food market accessible by lovely nature path along a flowing stream and quaint footbridge to stop and linger on. The train station (10 min walk) and bus stops (3 min walk) are just down the street.
Nearby the old town of Holbæk has half timbered houses on crooked streets that guide you downhill to overlook the scenic harborside area filled with old wooden tall ships. The town is full of trendy eateries and outdoor cafes, like the new super funky Gl Havn Streetfood Holbæk. The train station is located right at the main walking/shopping street and then it is only a few minutes walk to the fjord. Along the fjord there is a new national ship museum, ice cream shops, streetfood area, cute ferry ride to local island, dinner boat cruise, various cafes, new walking promenade, turkish baths, kayak/SUP rentals, bathing pier and a swimming beach. In the middle of town there is an urban forest with a climbing park and big deer sanctuary. On the edge of Holbæk there is a full immersion history experience into 1600-1900's era Denmark- Nyvang historical reenactment town.

Denmark's most beautiful beaches are within reach 20-30 min north of town, as are the relaxed theme park and water park called Sommerland Sjælland, but beware some of the rides are human powered and you start some of them yourself! A unique experience! We can also tell you how to get to the secret "Hamlets grave" near there.
If you want to immerse yourself even further back in history check out the "Land of Legends" Sagnlandet in Lejre on the way to Roskilde. Get your Viking on there in a viking village that still has its inhabitants who will give you lessons in sword fighting, fire building, stone flour grinding, and dugout canoe paddling. You may even stumble further back in time to a Stone Age camp and trade and share food with its people.
The Viking ship museum in Roskilde is not to be missed with an unforgettable experience of sailing a replica viking ship!
We challenge you to find the 7 "Forgotten Giants" on the way to Copenhagen, with one who decided to go fishing near Roskilde :)

Cleaning choices
1. If you would like full cleaning including floors the cleaning service charges 250€ - it is a big house. Please let us know in advance for scheduling.
2. Full cleaning yourself including floors. The cleaning company checks after self cleaning (40€) to ensure proper cleaning for the next exchanger.
We provide one set of towels, sheets, and duvet covers for every guest. For your convenience you do not need to wash them on departure - just bag them and place in storage room when done :) Dry towels first please. TY!
We required a copy of ID to be sent ahead of the exchange. We have an outdoor gate camera at the road as well where ID will be verified. There is a lock box with code.
