Was Sie an dieser Unterkunft lieben werden
Fully renovated in a soothing grey-and-white colour palette, the flat is very comfortable, spacious and has an eclectic feel due to the different levels and small internal stairways. The entrance hall which doubles up as an office space has three little stairways from it, two leading to bedrooms, and one to the bathroom and kitchen. From the kitchen there is another step down into the living & dining room which features a velvet-covered window seat in the bay window which overlooks St Goerge’s Road. Everything is modern and new. The bedroom has a white wood-clad vaulted ceiling giving the impression of an upside-down ship! The flat is above a grocery store and next door to a hardware store and trendy cafe/clothes shop. Opposite is a flower shop, 2 very good charity shops and the Barley Mow, a cosy intrinsically English pub. Just a block away is the Kemp, an iconic Kemptown pub, eatery and live music venue.

Our lovely Brighton flat is one block from the Sea Lanes area of Brighton Seafront - great for beach activities as well as the promenade along to Hove in the West and to Brighton Marina and Rottingdean to the East. The Sea Lanes has a wealth of fitness options as well as beachfront cafes and restaurants. The flat is in the quieter side of Kemptown Village which is full of Regency architecture and quaint and quirky owner-operated shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, etc. It is a very artsy area with lots of activities, open houses, classes etc. Being on a wide variety of bus routes, you can reach all parts the city of Brighton & Hove and beyond into the countryside and further along the coast. The centre of Brighton with the Lanes and North Laines are an easy walk or very short bus trip away. As is the Theatre Royal, Royal Pavilion, and The Dome, all major tourist attractions. The Brighton Palace Pier is a short walk away. Kemptown is the epicentre of Brighton Pride Festival so the flat is very convenient for accessing all those activities but is just outside of the entertainments and street parties, so it is a quiet retreat during that annual event. It’s also a good location for the annual Brighton Fringe Festival. The flat is also very close to Brighton College (just around the corner) and a 6 minute walk to the Royal Sussex County Hospital. The various departments of Brighton University are easily accessed and there’s a bus to Sussex University.

No children, no pets, no party-ers! Prefer over 50s. There is also an end-of-stay cleaning fee which has to be paid direct to the cleaning service of 40 GB Sterling for each visit. One thing: there is no cable TV. You need your own hotspot, data etc to connect the TV to your own streaming set ups. The Wi-Fi we use when we’re there is the Co-Op Wi-Fi from the shop underneath but it is not strong enough for TV. However, as you are staying in Brighton, I’m sure watching TV is not top of your list to activities to do!
