Showcasing vintage 1920s design, this delightful abode has been lovingly updated and maintained for 21st-century family comfort. Complete with a fenced backyard and picturesque front porch, this cozy cottage offers a convenient location within steps of Wilmington's Historic District and the Downtown Riverwalk. The Children's Museum is located right across the street, making this an ideal choice for families with young ones. The cottage is also listed as a stop on local historic home tours due to its status as one of the two remaining, $750 homes from the Sears & Roebuck catalog.
Start your morning with coffee on the front porch rocker and spend your afternoons enjoying the outdoors in the private, fully fenced backyard. A gas grill and lawn table are provided for alfresco dining. Comfortable seating and a smart TV welcome casual downtime in the living area. The back room features a desk and sofa for remote working or quiet reading. A suite of updated stainless steel appliances is ready and equipped to handle easy at-home meal prep. A private washer/dryer adds an extra layer of convenience during your stay.
Please know that this is our second home and it is also listed on Airbnb/VRBO, managed by Vacasa. We can block it for "family and friends" and let home exchange guests use the home. However, we must use the Vacassa cleaning and linen service at the end of your stay and the cost of the cleaning is $180. We also prefer one week stays but will consider a minimum of 4 nights.

The house is on a quiet residential only street a short walk from the restaurants, shops, and entertainment in downtown wilmington. Wilmington is a town where location is paramount and our house is special in that it is located in the safest, closest residential area easily walkable to downtown. There is a world class theater nearby, a marina and riverwalk, rivercruises, and all kinds of activitiies a short walk from the house. Beaches are 20 minutes (wrightsville beach) and 30 minutes (carolina beach) by car.
