This unique Archipelago retreat, mere steps from the Baltic Sea, artfully melds bespoke pieces with historic charm & offers not merely accommodation, but an immersion into the Archipelago's timeless allure. Suitable for romantic souls seeking intimate escapes, partners wishing to honor their bond & nature enthusiasts in pursuit of a sanctuary. The setting's calming ambiance create an ideal backdrop for meaningful connection, be it with a loved one or with the restorative power of nature itself.
Minimalism at its finest, this tiny cabin has a Scandinavian nature - calming, chic and cosy.
Located on a remote island and situated 1 meter from the sea within the heart of Stockholm’s Archipelago, here you can recharge your batteries amidst nature like no other. Fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to breathtaking sea view with swans passing by on a daily basis all year round.
The cabin is of simple nature but has everything you need for a comfy stay. Filled with Scandinavian furnishings, antique ornaments and handmade décor including a 70 years old boat steering wheel, hand picked seashells from our travels, handmade tables and candles in all corners. The couch turns into a 160cm sized bed and across the room is the dining area with a table, two handmade benches and windows with large sea view. The small kitchen is connected to the dining and living room area and has everything you need to make delicious meals, oven, stove, microwave, fridge, sink etc. The heater is in this room, a portable oil radiator heater. Fast wifi and a small projector in living-room that's connected to Chromecast with Netflix and speakers connected to Google Home.
The bedroom is small and cosy in size with a very comfortable double continental bed.
The terrace surrounds the cabin, the left side with an outdoor table and chairs with the sea directly under you on one side and blueberry pastures on the other. The sun sets on this side so it's perfect for dinner/wine when the weather permits. There is also a comfy lounge area during the warmer season. The outdoor shower is here as well with running hot water; a shower with a view at its finest. Next to the shower is your private infrared sauna, which heats up within less than half an hour with sunset views each night. The right side of the terrace has a roof, there are two stools here for a cup of tea out on a rainy day and a small BBQ to have grilled dinners.
The outdoor toilet is an incinerator toilet, with glowy lights and a small heater that both turn on from sensors when you open the door.
Your private dock is in front of the house, where you will see nothing other than water, islands from a distance and various boats/swans/seals passing by. We have occasionally seen the Northern Lights from here, during the prime Northern Lights time in March, although it is a rare sight if you happen to be here when it shows you couldn't be in a more magical surrounding for the occasion.
A few meters from the cabin is a bonfire on smooth rocks 2 meters from the sea, making it the perfect evening occasion to stargaze or grill marshmallows. Blueberries and apples are on the property which you are free to pick in season.
A cleaning fee of 2000kr will be charged to cover the cleaners travelling costs and cost to prepare clean bedding and towels, and to prepare the cabin.
Please note that we rent out our cabin on sites so the calendar might not be updated. During the summer it's usually fully booked.

The island of Vårholma is 3km long and 1km wide, making it the perfect size for small walks offering you various sorts of nature and different types of cottages. On the island there are three ferry docks, a common swimming dock and a dance scene used for Midsummers Eve. During the winter it is common to not see any inhabitants on the island on weekdays, and some on the weekends, which provides you peace and tranquillity.
Mushrooms and blueberries grow wild on the island. Deers are often seen near the cabin, on the property and around the island. Seals can be seen occasionally from the dining table, popping their head up from the sea.
- From Stockholm City the direct ferries to Vårholma depart every day all year round (during low season on average 2/day and takes approximately 1.5 hours, it's a beautiful ferry ride allowing you to see all the ferries along the way. From the ferry stop to the cabin it's approximately a 10-minute walk.
- From Arlanda Airport the smoothest way to get to the cabin is taking an Uber (45-minute ride) to Vaxholm, and from there either take a taxi boat (20-minute ride) that drives you directly to the property's private dock, or you can take a ferry from Vaxholm if it syncs with your flight.
