AVAILABLE JAN & FEB for non simultaneous exchanges or guest points (will lower point amount for 28+ days: Eliot Maine, a scenic town along the Piscataqua River, lies adjacent to Kittery and Portsmouth NH. Our home is a classic, spacious New England Raeside Dame with modern conveniences including a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, romantic gas fireplace, large south-facing windows, 1 1/2 acre garden with a gorgeous stone patio, screened-in porch and Webber grill, complete with solar panels and an electric car charger, all in a lovely walkable, bikeable, quiet, friendly neighborhood. The home has rich wide-board wood floors throughout and exposed timber beams.
We have had all glowing five-star reviews from guests on all sites where we are listed. We have an abundance of natural beauty in the Southern Maine seacoast with several nearby beaches, river parks, scenic walks, ferries and harbor tours, sailing and fishing charters, and historic Portsmouth 10 minutes away. We have a plethora of gourmet restaurants including a James Beard winner and many have outdoor dining options. There are also several music and theater events, including the wonderful open-air series in Prescott Park. "Gourmet Alley" is a nearby area with independent markets including a locally-sourced sustainably-farmed meat market, a fresh produce market, an amazing bakery and pastry shop, an Italian specialty food store, three farmers markets, and a world-renown chocolatier. Best of all gorgeous scenic drives. abound.
We are typically booked all summer with weekly rentals however we do have uo to six weeks available in Jan/Feb 2025. We are not accepting exchanges for summer 2025. We will accept guest points and consider non simultaneous exchanges for winter 2025. While not directly on the water, our home is not far from the Eliot boat ramp and river beaches, within an 8-25 minute drive to all the southern seacoast has to offer: scenic ocean beaches (Seapoint, Fort Foster, Newcastle Commons), historic Portsmouth, Kittery shopping outlets, gorgeous Maine harbors, river walks, seaside drives, Prescott Park gardens, Music Hall, Jimmy's Jazz club, and Seacoast Rep events, Shilo Farm yoga and retreat center, a plethora of gourmet restaurants, local farmer's markets, specialty food stores, and lobsters right off the boats. Numerous outdoor activities are available nearby including swimming, kayaking, hiking, outdoor yoga, surfing, fishing, boating, and biking. (Attached scenic photos are within easy driving distances.)

Our home is solar powered on the grid so that most of our energy comes from the sun but we have electric backup. Two of our bedrooms are set up as normal bedrooms with queen beds. A third bedroom has a double bed and in-suite bath. We have converted our fourth bedroom to an office and it has a new "full" sofa bed more suitable to one adult or possibly two small children. We prefer exchanges with five or less people to reduce strain on our well and septic however we do also have a new temporary Innex Queen Comfort bed that you can plug in to inflate. The Innex is more suited to one adult or two small children.
We have a $250/stay cleaning fee which is the exact cost of our outside cleaning firm, although we can waive this for reciprocal exchanges only.
Check ins are typically after 4:00 pm and check outs at 9:00 am, please let us know if you want to request a different arrangement and we will try to accommodate you.
Also know that there is a small tenant-occupied apartment over our garage. The garage is not available for exchange. Our wonderful, quiet tenant may be home during exchanges, however he has his own separate entrance, drive, and garden space and will not intrude on visitors.
Please no smoking, no parties or extra guests beyond what we have agreed to-thanks!
