Paul and Christine visiting London for their third time and they will most likely return soon.
How did you find your exchange?
I contacted a member from the HomeExchange community.
What attracted you to this exchange opportunity?
Who doesn’t want to go to London? We found a home exchange apartment in the centre of London, near the river and near a tube station.
How was your arrival at the home?
Our hosts were cycling in France, so no, we didn’t meet them. But they sent us lots of info in advance of our stay, as well as a drawer full of brochures and maps. The apartment had its own secure parking space, which was a huge bonus in such a busy city.
What did you see or do during your exchange?
Borough Market, National Gallery, London Mithraeum, Charles Dickens’ house, St Paul’s cathedral, Chatham Historic Dockyards, Maltby Street market, World Cup ODI cricket final at Lords, Chelsea Physic garden, Greenwich Maritime museum ... this was our 3rd time in London, and we want to visit again!
What is your favorite memory from the exchange?
World Cup ODI cricket final at Lords .. the match of the century! England and New Zealand were evenly matched, the scores were level after 50 overs each, the scores were STILL level after a super over each, and then a countback of boundaries awarded the match to England. If you are a cricket tragic, what a game .. if you don’t follow cricket then none of this makes any sense!
How would you describe home exchange to your family and friends?
HomeExchange... a chance to see the world!
