How did you find your exchange?
I contacted the other member in search of an exchange.
What attracted you to this exchange opportunity?
We could walk to the ocean/beach. We could walk to bars, restaurants & movies. There was a deck with a hot tub & awesome sunsets!
How was your arrival at the home?
We didn't meet our host, as they were away on their own exchange. My request was a last minute one to Oceanside, CA; due to an issue with a home exchange partner in La Quinta, CA that prompted us to leave their property 2 weeks earlier than we'd planned. We gave Oceanside, CA GuestPoints for our stay in their home.
What did you see or do during your exchange?
We visited little vintage & coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, yoga, massages, movies & the beach…all within walking distance! We also drove a little ways to play tennis & to do early Christmas shopping at Marshall’s, Ross & TJ Maxx. Plus we took a trip into San Diego to the zoo & Old Town San Diego.
What is your favorite memory from the exchange?
Drinking flutes of prosecco in the hot tub & enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Laying on the beach & reading a good book. Having a relaxing massage at a local clinic. Exploring neighborhood vintage shops & downtown's night life.
How would you describe home exchange to your family and friends?
A great way to travel & feel like you're at home.
