My HomeExchange Story: "It’s the best way to travel and meet new people."
In September 2021, Pam and Joe traveled to Huntington Beach, CA with their kids. This was their first time swapping homes after hearing of home exchanging from a friend who had done it many times. They shared their experience with HomeExchange while spending time with family and enjoying sunny Southern California.
Discover HomeExchangeWhat did you appreciate most about the home you stayed in?
This beautiful Huntington Beach, California home overlooks the Bolsa Chica wetlands. There are gorgeous sunsets, many varieties of birds, and we even heard and saw coyotes. In the distance you can even see the famous Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The vast Pacific Ocean with its white sandy beaches is only a three mile drive or bike ride.
What did you appreciate most about your exchange partner?
Our host directed us to hidden gems such as local restaurants, shopping, and the best beaches to swim/boogie board and surf.
What did you see or do during your exchange?
The most precious memory was taking our granddaughter to the beach for the first time. Also, enjoying a bonfire and cooking s’mores. Such special memories.
