In August, Lauren and her family traveled to Montreal, QC for two days. Even in such a small amount of time, they were able to use HomeExchange to help them make the most of their vacation. She was able to share more details with us about her trip and how much she enjoys home swapping with her family.
Discover HomeExchangeWhat did you appreciate most about the home you stayed in?
I loved the warm welcome we received from Brunilda. We got to meet her in person, which doesn’t happen all the time. We loved the full kitchen and the cool, high tech shower!

What did you appreciate most about your exchange partner?
Brunilda had excellent communication. Everything was prompt, helpful, and clear. Brunilda made sure we had everything we needed.
What did you see or do during your exchange?
We loved Montreal! We were quite busy over the two full days we were there. We visited the Biodôme, the planetarium, the bouncy house Olympic Village, Snowdon restaurant, Mount Royal, Jean-Talon market, Chinatown, and Notre Dame.

What is one of your best memories or experiences from a home exchange?
I loved having tea with our Dublin family. I also loved going to a cèilidh with our Cork family.
What would you say to your friends and family who are considering HomeExchange?
It’s the best decision we’ve ever made as a family!
What tips and tricks would you give to new HomeExchangers?
Have a zoom with your exchange partner before going. It makes everyone feel better.
