Meeting HomeExchange members
On June 1, we had a meeting with one of our experienced HomeExchange members. Etienne and his mother Viviane met us during their travels from Quebec for a two-week vacation in Paris – their first time in the French capital city! They welcomed us kindly to their HomeExchange host’s apartment located near the Alexandre Dumas metro station in the 11th arrondissement.

We had brought with us some “viennoiseries” and fresh orange juice and we shared breakfast and chatted with them about their home swap experiences. The apartment was gorgeous – with a modern kitchen and a very French style living room, it was perfect for what they wanted and they were thrilled when they found it on HomeExchange. Etienne works in the gaming industry, and he had decided to take his mother, Viviane, on a holiday to celebrate her recent retirement!
This exchange was their first with HomeExchange! Etienne found HomeExchange online when he was looking into doing a home swap, and he loved the user-friendly website! Eventually, after finding and conversing with hosts, they finalized a reciprocal home exchange. The hosts in Paris will travel to Etienne’s home in Quebec in September.
Upon arriving to Paris, the travelers were welcomed by their hosts and shown around their home for the next two weeks. As this was their first time in Paris, they had a lot of questions for us about any recommendations and tips we may have for their vacation. It was great to be able to advise them and share with them what we like doing in Paris, and what we thought they might enjoy.
