Is paying for guarantees on HomeExchange worth it?
Our HomeExchange guarantees are part of how we assure a great travel experience for hosts and guests. With a HomeExchange membership, you're guaranteed 12 months of worry-free exchanges with the guarantees already included in the membership price. Our membership covers the bases so that you don't have to weight the pros and cons of add ons when considering an exchange. The guarantees included in our memberships cover you as a host and a guest. In the event of a problem, HomeExchange is your designated contact and intermediary, and we will play the role of mediator in order to find a solution to your situation.
- As a guest, we offer a compensation of up to 840 USD/week in case of cancellation by the host, if we cannot find a replacement exchange accommodation. If your host's accommodation is not suitable, HomeExchange will offer you an alternative solution. Plus, HomeExchange covers property damage up to $1,000,000 USD over and above the $500 USD deductible (taken from your deposit).
- As a host, the deposit of up to $500 is payable by your guest for minor damage and HomeExchange covers property damage up to $1,000,000 and covers you in the event of theft. These guarantees are included in all finalized exchanges that are carried out with a valid membership.
Are the places cleaner and nicer than rentals?
While the notion of cleanliness is universal, the details can be discussed. We know the importance of cleanliness when it comes to feeling comfortable away from home which is why it's of great importance to us and our members.
