What inspired you to start swapping your home?
I started HomeExchange because I travel frequently and my first exchange program was very enjoyable.
How well-known is home exchanging as a concept in your country?
It is not popular in Turkey. When I spread it in my country, people are eager to use it.
Why do you prefer to travel with GuestPoints?
I only do GP exchanges out of necessity, because my home is not in a popular place for mutual exchanges.
What advice would you offer to anyone considering home exchanging?
My advice for beginners: [home exchanging is] very reliable and very enjoyable to meet locals.
What is your Instagram channel mainly focused on?
I share my travel tips and experiences.

There's lots to discover, such as inspirational content, hints on what to see and do in iconic cities - plus the types of locations that might not be on your radar - and more. For example, the post pictured above is a list of suggestions on how to stay safe if you're traveling alone. Yagmur's top suggestions include:
- Never tell anyone that you are traveling alone.
- Always split your money into 2 or 3. If you are mugged, at least you won't lose all your money.
- Always keep a photocopy of your passport in the place you are staying or in the car.
- If you are drinking something in a crowded place, cover your glass with your hand while talking to someone.
- Do not use your credit card in every country (think twice especially in 3rd world countries).
If you want some recommendations on where to go, there's plenty to explore!
And we're delighted to say, she's proud to promote travels in her home country too...
