Having enjoyed many home swapping adventures in countries such as Switzerland, Florida, Norway and Finland, she knows the secrets of planning an amazing HomeExchange vacation!

How did you first get into home exchanging?
When I had my first son, we were planning a 3-month trip with my husband. I didn't want to keep to hotels for such long time, and came up with an idea of HomeExchange. Someone could come to our home while we were traveling. This idea became a great reality and we stayed at a beautiful cottage in the Swiss Alps, while a Spanish couple came to our home.
What do people say when you tell them you travel the world doing exchanges with "strangers"?
People usually say they wouldn't be comfortable welcoming a complete stranger at their precious home. They are afraid of damage. They are afraid they wouldn't be able to clean their home enough in order to welcome people they don't know. I keep telling them to try to go for an exchange first and gain experience as a guest.

Have you got a preference for GuestPoints exchanges or reciprocal exchanges?
We do more GP exchanges which opens great opportunities for us. For example, last Christmas we went to Florida while our hosts went to see their grandchildren. In the meantime there was a Czech family living in Vienna coming to our home in Prague. Win-win experience.
What's your top tip for anyone who is new to HomeExchange?
Don't get stuck to a single destination you dream of, and be open to requests from anywhere. Make your profile interesting and promote cultural and natural heritage in your surroundings.

Why should people follow you on social media?
I inspire people to travel and explore new destinations as locals, not as a tourist. I show them it's possible to travel often and without ruining their budget. I help them in finding the best airfares and I show them how to travel with little children.
