As the summer temperature begins to rise, we can think of nothing better than spending a day indulging in all the activities that water parks have to offer, and some of the world’s best are in Europe. 1. Siam Park, Tenerife, Spain
Siam Park, which opened its doors in 2008, is located in the Adeje region of Tenerife and is one of the most famous water parks in Europe. The park has a Thai theme and boasts the longest lazy river in Mai Thai.
Volcano and dragon style water slides are plentiful, but the most prominent attraction is probably the Tower of Power. This slide has an 85-foot drop, and if that isn’t scary enough, when you reach the bottom there is a tunnel that sends you through a tank of sharks.
2. Caribe Aquatic Park, Port Aventura, Costa Dorada, Spain
Caribe Aquatic Park is located on the azure blue coast of Spain, and it is definitely one worth a visit. With its Caribbean theme and endless rides, you wont find a better place for an exciting day trip.
The food is also fantastic at this park. However, if you’re looking for little something extra, the Portaventura theme park is right next door with plenty more fun-filled activities!
3. Aquariaz, French Alps, France
Aquariaz is a relatively new water park and one of the highest rated water parks in Europe. The design and theme of the park is centered around three contrasting worlds: the wate tree, the slidewinder and the central pool.
The park provides plenty of room for children to splash around in the watertree, experience the adventurous slides by taking a ride on the Daredevil and a chance to relax on messaging seats in the bubble lounge – there is truly something for everyone!
4. Skara Sommarland, Sweden
Skara Sommarland is the biggest water park in the Nordic region and is more of the traditional type of water park, but with plenty of slides and attractions.
There is also a campsite on site with space for caravans and tents should you wish to stay for a few days and avail of all the facilities on offer. If you’re not a fan of the outdoors, not to worry; they also have more than 300 cottages and a few apartments on offer at very reasonable package prices.
5. Fasouri Watermania, Cyprus
Fasouri Watermania in Cyprus has Europe’s largest wave pool and 33 attractions to keep you entertained no matter how long you are there. The park sits on 25 acres of land and welcomes people of all ages, claiming that they aim to facilitate people of all types with their park facilities. The park also has six food and beverage outlets, so there is no need to leave the park for any reason – you’ll have everything that you need there.
